| Philippians 2:5-8
5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in very nature[a] God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7but made himself nothing, taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross! Ok. I know I haven't written on here in a while. But here goes. I'm sitting here at work, waiting on an email response, and I can't stop thinking. I finished the seventh Harry Potter last night, and my mind hasn’t stopped since. I know this is a stretch, but I’ve got to voice this thought somewhere, and writing (well, typing for me really) always seems to be a good way. It’s just, I think my English literature education is going to get the best of me. You can’t just read a book, you have to find the hidden concepts, whether they’re there or not. I can’t go into too much detail, because if I give anything I’d be in trouble with some Harry fan. I keep thinking about the themes she touched on, about Jesus, and what He did for me. And how I don’t deserve it. At all. I feel like I got a small taste of the Mount of Olives… I’ve always had respect for Jesus, but now even more so. Isn’t it weird how secular things like Harry Potter, which is like the Da Vinci Code in the fact that they are both fictional stories, (just a little side note there), helps you to understand a little bit more of the nature of God. (But to clarify, I didn’t experience this with the Da Vinci Code). I don’t know if that made any sense at all, but I hope it did.
Ephesians 2:14-18 14For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, 16and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

Update on Haley:
She's healing really quickly. It's only been two weeks since her surgery and she's already walking around on crutches (the walker was disposed of after about a week of use). So she should be off of the crutches by February. And the scar is only about seven inches long and is also healing nicely.

| Ok. So... Lot's going on these past few days...
-Haley had her hip replacement today. She'll be in the hospital for a couple of days, then rehab for a while. -Went to LR with Annie, Erin and Kara and saw The Holiday, wonderful movie (mainly b/c half of it is set in Surrey) -Ate dinner with Dad last night at Mazzio's. Also got to walk around campus under the lights with him. -Today, I'm frantically trying to complete all of the stuff that is due tomorrow, hence the Xanga entry. -April moved out today. This is sadness. -Had a surprise goodbye party for Vada last night. Played Taboo with everyone and took lots of pics.
I love finals week.

Well, they did it. Go JCS. Congrats guys. I'm excited. We've never been good at football. And hey, winning the championship isn't a bad way to end the season. And.... we brought the first football championship to Jackson. So I'm excited. Oh and yay for having 2 CoC schools in the championship game!!!
